In this interview Dave answers the question, "is now a good time to buy a house or should I wait?"  Click here to listen to Dave's answer.  Please note that the $8,000 (joint filing) first-time homebuyer tax rebate is refundable.  That means if a home is purchased in 2009, the federal income tax due is reduced by $8,000.  If the taxes due are less than $8,000, then the filers will receive the difference in a refund.  I apologize for the mistake but as you can see, even I was confused by the complexity of the stimulus package.
