This video shows the Wal-Mart store located in Port Orchard at the intersection of Tremont and Bethel Avenues. Wal-Mart is one of several large "anchor stores" in the commercial development.
Even though "the Y" is located in Gig Harbor, many of the friends I know who live in Port Orchard to here because of the programs offered. There's a climbing wall, pool, sauna, extensive weight room, aerobic room, basketball court, billiards/ping pong room and indoor jogging track. This video was taken from the parking lot.
This is a video of new homes being built by Quadrant Homes about 1.5 miles south of highway 16 in Port Orchard. This development is called The Ridge and was begun in 2002-2003. These homes are priced beginning at $250,000 up to about $350,000. There will probably be close to 200+ homes once the building is completed.
This is a neighborhood of new homes being built by D. R. Horton in a golf course community called McCormick Woods about two miles south of highway 16 in Port Orchard. The video shows the entrance to this community called Strathmore.
Rutherford is another community built by D. R. Horton located in McCormick Woods. Some of these homes were built in early 2000 and probably the last were built in 2006-2007. This video shows the entrance and a look-see down both sides of the street.
This video shows the entrance to the clubhouse and restaurant of the golf club community of McCormick Woods in Port Orchard, WA. The McCormick Woods golf course is a renowned public links and is the anchor for several thousand homes built in this community.
This video was taken of an older neighborhood in McCormick Woods. These homes were probably built in the mid to late 1990s. These older homes have larger lot sizes, maybe as much as four-tenths of an acre.
McCormick Woods Boulevard is the main road running through the development. This video was taken from the intersection of Troon Avenue looking across McCormick Woods Blvd at homes on the southern side.
This is Saint Anthony's hospital which was dedicated in early March 2009. This video was taken in the back parking lot. Now that Saint Anthony's is open, patients living in Gig Harbor who need emergency room treatment don't have to travel to Harrison Hospital in Bremerton or to Tacoma.
This video shows the Emergency Room Entrance at Saint Anthony's. In addition to in-patient care, emergency room and surgical suites, the hospital also contains a cancer care center.
